World Religion Day

Blog Entry: 16th January 2024

Yesterday marked World Religion Day, which was first set up in 1950 with the aim of promoting understanding and peace between all religions. Valuing those who we live, work and play alongside is immeasurably important.
At playgroup we are keen to be authentically inclusive by learning about and celebrating the different faiths of our children and families. We have 'Celebration of Nations Days' where families can come in to tell us more about the festivals that they celebrate as part of their faith.
We were also delighted to hear about the festival Pongal, the Hindu Harvest festival, which was being celebrated yesterday by some of our families.
We'd love to hear more about the faiths and festivals that you celebrate and which we can learn about at playgroup.
If you'd be happy to come in to talk to us please let us know.
