The value of play

At Croft Playgroup we recognise that play is vital to the healthy and well-rounded development of all children.

In order to best meet the needs of the children our curriculum intent is rooted in the Early Years Foundation Stage along with Anna Ephgrave's "Planning in the Moment" approach, centring on the importance of child-led play, positive relationships and valuing individuals in an inclusive and loving atmosphere.

We understand that children need time to play and explore in a workshop style environment which provides them with equal opportunities to be creative, explore, experiment and take risks.

Our experienced and well qualified team provide support, question, encourage and observe children to gain a full understanding of their personalities, interests and abilities. We enjoy working closely with other playgroups and local schools to further improve our provision.
