How can you get involved?

As parents and families are a child's first educator, we firmly believe that by working closely together we can provide the best possible start for children to thrive and develop. We therefore welcome parents, carers, grandparents and family member’s coming into Playgroup. We operate an Open Door Policy - all parents are welcome into playgroup at any time of the day and appointment is not necessary.

You can also get involved via:

• Parents Meetings – Termly meetings will be arranged between the parents and their child's keyworker. This is an opportunity to find out how your child is getting on at Playgroup and ask any questions.
• Celebration of the nations day - We believe in celebrating the lived experiences of our children. We actively encourage our parents to share their celebrations with us, whether these are religious, cultural or family traditions we would love to join in and hear all about them.
• Bring a family member to playgroup day - Throughout the year we have various days dedicated to our children bringing in significant adults in their lives. We like to use these days as an opportunity for families to play alongside their children and their children's friends within our environment.
• Class Dojo - We use Class Dojo to keep parents and carers informed of important information, news and events. We also provide a brief snapshot of each week in photo’s. Please let us know if you have any technical issues with the app and we will arrange another form of communication. 
• Learning Journals - Parents and carers are more than welcome to request their child's special Learning Journal file at any point during the playgroup year, we regularly encourage this as our children love sharing what they do at Playgroup!

• Volunteering - If you would like to volunteer or become a member of our committee, please get in touch - we regularly ask parents/carers/members of the community to come and support our curriculum or to lend a helping hand.
 
• All volunteers and students will be subjected to an enhanced criminal record check and then inducted into Playgroup and given our induction pack.
